This transformative 8-week program connects experienced caregiver mentors with parents in need of support as they care for a child with an eating disorder.
Being the caregiver of a child with an eating disorder can be profoundly challenging. FEAST’s caregiver mentorship program equips parents with caregiving skills, educational resources, and insightful peer support to help parents become effective caregivers.
Duration: 8 weeks
Frequency: One session per week
Commitment: Participants are required to commit to attending all 8 sessions.
Application Instructions: Please answer the questions on the applications thoroughly. The more detailed and thoughtful your responses are, the better we will be able to assess your application and match you with a peer mentor.
Requirements:
Must be the parent caregiver of a child with a diagnosed eating disorder (parents are encouraged to attend mentoring sessions together when possible)
Child must be monitored on a regular basis for medical stability
Age of child is between 12 and 25
Caregiver is enrolled in FEAST 30 Days or has previously completed it
