There is no greater loss than that of a son or daughter. Eating disorders are a very dangerous condition and do, in numbers far higher than the public seems to understand, cause death. As a parent community we stand together with bereaved families in their grief. We feel this type of loss with great empathy and special understanding. Although this is never the outcome we expect, we do not run from the reality that not all lives will be saved. When eating disorders take a life it is time to put aside all else and focus on supporting the family and friends.
