F.E.A.S.T. Australia Task Force

The Task Force seeks to:

share information about eating disorder treatment across all Australian States and Territories
address eating disorders issues and concerns specifically relevant in an Australia context
raise awareness about F.E.A.S.T in Australia
promote F.E.A.S.T's goals
encourage use of the website and the At the Dinner Table forum

The task force is chaired jointly by Carolin Gray and Bridget Bonnin and will report to the FEAST executive and Board. Tasks to be undertaken will be subject to approval by the F.E.A.S.T executive, and in some instances by the F.E.A.S.T board.

If you would like to be part of this group or even just be on the email list to hear what is going on, please join us. Most of the task force's communication will be undertaken by email. If you choose to join the task force, you will need to be prepared to share with the group your email address and the State or Territory where you live.

Regarding Support Groups and Trainings For Parents/Carers

F.E.A.S.T. is not able to evaluate the philosophical approach or quality of the groups below. Some support groups may be facilitated by or have an atmosphere that is based on older treatment models that distance or blame parents. F.E.A.S.T. advises parents to research in advance and to seek optimistic, science-based support environments that help parents be engaged and assertive.

Family Information Program
The Eating Disorders Resource Centre in Queensland offers a four week information and support group specifically for families and friends of people with eating disorders. The group will run every Tuesday for four weeks from 6.30 to 8.30pm
