Laura Collins Lyster-Mensh, M.S. is a writer from Virginia who became an activist for improved eating disorder treatment after the recovery of her teen daughter from anorexia. She has been an invited speaker for the National Eating Disorders Association, the Academy for Eating Disorders, Renfrew Foundation, Ophelia's Place, the University of North Carolina Eating Disorders Program, and Eating Disorders Coalition conferences. Collins writes a blog for the
